Details: The Butler School of Music presents the Fifth Annual David O. Nilsson Solo Pianist Competition Finals. The competition, established through the generosity of Dr. David O. Nilsson, is unique in that the winner will be chosen on two criteria: technical and artistic proficiency in playing the piano and the ability to give an approximately two-minute talk, in English, using proper grammar, introducing the music to be performed in an engaging fashion which will build a bridge between the performer and the audience.
